I custom designed this piece to wrap seamlessly from Jack’s forearm, just below his elbow, to his collarbone, based on measurements provided long-distance. Jack and his tattoo artist, Devon Ward, worked with me from Portland, Oregon, while I designed his piece from my studio in Brooklyn, NY.
Jack's vision was a bountiful bouquet of wildflowers, including Blue Bells, Fireweed, Indian Paintbrush, and Trillium, twining around his upper arm. I added root systems that were intended to trail asymmetrically down his forearm, highlighting the natural beauty of the plant anatomy.
They slightly revised the placement of some details, notably the root structures that were originally staggered to nestle above and below one another, rather than end evenly at his elbow. It turned out beautifully placed in-person to align with his muscle tone and anatomy - a fun and rewarding collaboration!
