I custom designed this piece as a half sleeve, originally intended to wrap around Jack's forearm, based on measurements provided long-distance. Jack and his tattoo artist worked with me from Portland, Oregon, while I designed the piece from my studio in Washington, D.C..
An avid climber and backpacker, Jack's vision was to incorporate botanical elements from his beloved Pacific Northwest landscape. He asked me to design a cluster of Larkspur and Columbine, intertwined around a line drawing of an aspen tree. The winning illustration was a true celebration of the flora closest to Jack's heart, and a fun collaboration from afar!
